Welcome!

Butterfly Rocket is a very small constellation of storytellers, artists, and programmers who are focused on creating narrative-forward visual novels and interactive fictions, with particular emphasis on complex and compassionate characters and themes. 

The main project under our umbrella is the upcoming visual novel Bright Oak, which has an anticipated full release in early 2024. For ongoing progress updates, please check out Bright Oak's Tumblr page.

We also released Burdock for the 2023 Spooktober Visual Novel Jam.
